26 weeks pregnant update

Published May 25, 2014 by ivfdream

How far along? Week 26-we still cannot believe this!

Total weight gain: 22 pounds or 1 stone, 8lbs

Started at 143 lbs. Am now 165 lbs and am 2lbs over recommended weight gain.

Much happier with this weight gain this week as this is normal. I ate really healthy foods, walked every day, did pregnancy DVD and aqua aerobics. Determined not to be a blimp!

Maternity clothes? Yes. Loving all the stuff my cousin gave to me and bought a bag of tops, vests and swimsuit from done deal.ie. Its a second hand shop online. Also bought 3 nightdresses and slippers in Dunnestores. All 8 euro each. Got them in a size up with buttons that button down. They are cute. Last thing I’m looking for is light dressing gown.

Stretch marks?
No.

Movement:
Yes! Loads. Mostly morning and evening and in bed.

Best moment this week:
We went for a check up with Doctor and midwife at my practice. The midwife did a 4D scan and gave us a photo! The detail is outstanding! Cute, little face that looks like DH though some people say baby looks like me or has my cheeks! The 4D also showed baby moving, swallowing, smiling etc. how cool! Makes it more real! That along with the movement thing is making me so excited yet I have at least 12 weeks left…

Miss anything? Running. Exercise. It’s raining a lot so if it rains, I don’t got out. Normally, I’d hit the gym or a class. Missed wine this week too. Had a big dinner out with friends and saw a Prosecco floating by me!

Belly button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off: On. Though, my hands may start the bloating as they are going numb all through the night.

Happy or moody most of the time: happy as feeling healthy and fit. Walking 3km every day and swimming too.

Looking forward: to it all! Countdown mode. We are going away for a few days so that will be fun. Life is great!

Food cravings: no. Can’t say I’ve ever had real cravings.

Anything making you queasy or sick? No.

Gender: not finding out.

Symptoms: movements and tightening of bottom of stomach. Need to go to toilet but when I get there, there is nothing! Numbness has stopped at night as have new sleep pillow, which I can cuddle into. Poor DH.

Labour signs: no! Far too soon.
